Battlegrounds India | Official Launch | 10 Million Download Reward Released | How to Update to Official Final Version

Krafton, the developers of Battlegrounds Mobile India, announced the game last month in the country. Pre-registered players could download the early access version of the Battle Royale via the Google Play Store. Krafton has now officially released the final version of BGMI for Indian users. The PUBG Mobile alternative is currently available for download on the Google Play Store. Users on iOS might have to wait for a few more days to play BGMI on iPhone. The company has announced a few updates as it releases the official version on the Google Play Store. Let’s take a look at more details as Battlegrounds Mobile India gets officially launched.

Users who have already downloaded the early access version can update the app to get the official version. Currently, the game is available only for Android smartphone users. There is no need to download the Battlegrounds Mobile India APK from third-party stores. This also means that iPhone users will have to wait until Krafton announces the Battlegrounds Mobile India iOS app. We can expect an official announcement on the same very soon.

The game is very similar to PUBG Mobile with a few changes here and there. The early impressions suggest that aren't many changes in the new game and the ones that have been made are cosmetic like green blood and fully clothed characters. One of the egregious changes however seems to be is the new "Gameplay Management System" that will keep reminding you to maintain your health and give you tips on staying hydrated etc.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Final Version Launched

Krafton has officially released the final version of Battlegrounds Mobile India. The early access of the game was available for download in May. Krafton has announced that users can download the official final version of the game from the Google Play Store. Those who had the early access version can simply download the 137MB update from the Play Store to get the official version.

As part of the official release, the developers have announced various in-game events. The duration of receiving the “India ka Battlegrounds” gift along with 1 million and 5 million total download rewards is extended to August 19, 23:59:59(UTC). In addition, players can also collect the Constable Set (permanent gift for 10 million downloads) after the official opening until August 19, 23:59:59 (UTC). Krafton will announce more such in-game events in the coming days.

There is currently no word on the BGMI release on iOS. There were reports that the iOS version is currently in the works. Krafton is expected to announce the iOS version for BGMI very soon.

The game’s early access version crossed five million downloads within a few days of its availability. In case you are not aware, BGMI comes with some minor changes compared to PUBG Mobile. Some of these include the change in the colour of blood, which is now green. The word “Kill” has also been replaced with “Finish”. Players will also be reminded of maintaining things such as correct posture, limiting screen time, among other things. These notices and messages have been labelled as being part of what is called the “Gameplay Management System”.
