Is the new iPad Mini 6 2021 worth buying?
Spec-wise, the iPad Mini 5 still isn’t too shabby. It shares the Apple A12 Bionic chip used in the iPhone XS line and has support for the first-generation Apple Pencil, along with a wide-color gamut display. However, it can’t compare to the new model, which launches with the Apple A15 Bionic process that powers the iPhone 13. The iPad Mini 6 outpaces its predecessor with a screen size increase (7.9″ to 8.3″), support for the Apple Pencil 2, and a switch to USB-C.
Most importantly, the new iPad Mini 6 2021 doesn’t lose any functionality. At first glance, some users thought it might not have Touch ID, but this feature is not available through the power button on top of the tablet. Apple claims this iPad Mini has a 40 percent faster CPU and 80 percent faster GPU. So, even though the iPad Mini 5 is far from a slouch, this new device gives users a bit of future-proofing.
For us, the choice of whether the new iPad Mini 6 2021 is worth it is an easy one. There’s no better tablet available in its size range, and it far surpasses previous models in every way.
